Academics

The Little Red Schoolhouse preschool program offers an outstanding developmental education program for 3 and 4 year olds.  Children receive the appropriate introduction to learning, with opportunity for social interactions.

Admission Requirement for Preschool Program:

Elementary level (grades K5 - 6) emphasis is reading, language, math, science and social studies.  In addition, the Accelerated Reader program is provided through the library.  Our elementary students experience supervised enrichments activities such as art, music, computer, library, drug and alcohol education, and physical education.  The concentrated effort to keep our student / teacher ratio small (12:1) enables our staff of qualified teachers to embrace classroom and individual creativity.

 Junior High (grades 7-8) and High School (grades 9 - 12) students have the opportunity to excel academically and athletically.  In accordance with the school's mission, CA offers an intensive college preparatory curriculum that meets all State of Louisiana needs and TOPS guidelines.  Concurrent enrollment class in College Algebra and College Trig for six hours of college credit is available for Junior and Seniors.

High School offers the following courses:

English I, II, III, IV - Algebra I, II - Geometry - Business Math - Physical Science - Biology I, II - Chemistry - Physics - Environmental Science - Civics - American History - World Geography - World History - Health - PE - Computer Science - Word Processing - Keyboarding - Computer Literacy - Computer Applications - French I, II - Reading I, II - Speech - Literature - Journalism.
